Whether you thrive off of makeup artistry, natural makeup or no makeup at all, these trends will open a world of possibilities for all things makeup.

Bleached Brows

You might hate it, you might love it, but either way, it’s happening. Bleached brows are here and are taking over the beauty world one hair at a time. I know what you’re thinking, “Why would someone bleach their eyebrows?” Well, if you have a medium to light eyebrow shade, they can take no commitment. All that is needed for a DIY version of this look is concealer and a spoolie brush. However, if you have darker eyebrows the concealer might not be the best bet, but there is a way to naturally lighten your eyebrows! All it takes is lemon juice, a cup, Q-tips and time. If you’re ready to fully commit to bleaching your eyebrows, there are a few precautionary steps to take for it to work safely and effectively. First, use a skin protectant to stay away from bleach burns. Don’t forget to buy a bleaching agent safe for eyebrow hair! A highly recommended product is Refectocil Blonde Brow. Leave the product on for the appropriate amount of time and then rinse and wash. Now, go show off your new statement look to the world.

“No Makeup” Makeup Look

Minimalism is the secret to a perfect no makeup, makeup look. This look sends your skin into happy mode. No more full-matte foundation or heavy concealer. Leo Chaperro, a makeup artist well known for his fantasy looks, recommends Augustinus Bader’s The Rich Cream as primer and Makeup Forever HD Skin Foundation. The rest is free game. This look is sweet and easy.

Blush

Blush is in, tell your friends. Dark blush, light blush, heavy blush, we all have a preference. Freshen up because this fall, you’ll be seeing heavy blush everywhere. Here are a few personal favorites:

Youthforia – BYO BLUSH – Color Changing Blush Oil

This one might seem confusing since it just looks like a tube of green oil. Once this product touches your skin, the skin reacts to the oil and creates the perfect shade for your skin tone.

Putty Cream Blush | e.l.f. Cosmetics (elfcosmetics.com)

For those who don’t like to drop more than $10 on products, you’ll love this e.l.f “putty blush.” It is full of color and contains oils to reenergize the skin.

Classic Red Lip

A red lip is typically the safest bet when you don’t know what color to use. It’s the perfect classic for winter. Allan Face, a former freelance artist for MAC cosmetics and a current well-known makeup artist, creates the perfect red lip for the cold days. It’s a timeless trend that never gets old and always looks fierce. However, this dark color can be a bit too easy to stain, so it’s best to prep your lips. How to Get Rid of Chapped Lips and What’s Making Them Worse | Glamour recommends to “get rid of any flakes with a lip scrub, and then apply a think balm while you do the rest of your makeup.”

Winged Eyeliner

We all know that winged eyeliner is a hit all year round, but it’s also a fall classic. This look can be tricky to master especially with a million different eye shapes. Click here for a guide on how to find the perfect winged eyeliner for your face.

All Things Burgundy

Burgundy is making its way back into the trends. Burgundy eyes, lips and cheeks are hot right now and while to many, this look may seem intimidating, but once it’s on, it’s a fall staple. There are so many ways to incorporate this fall color into your routine makeup or just your makeup for a night out.

Some trends die out before they even start while others stick around forever. Makeup is a timeless form of art that will always be around. If makeup is your thing, pick up your brush and try out some of these looks.
