Creative: 

The visuals of our magazine. Creative team members are responsible for creating the “look” of each issue. Photographers participate in photoshoots, edit photos and daily communicate with models and editors. Designers create designs and layouts for the magazine and communicate daily with the design editors. Contributors should be proficient in Adobe Suites. 

 Digital:

All things web. Digital team members are responsible for getting the word out about our magazine. Keep on top of trends while keeping the vision and voice of Alice intact.  

Social media managers create copy content and graphics for Instagram and Twitter.  

YouTube/Tik Tok editors create and edit videos and copy content for our YouTube/Tik Tok channels.  

Marketing team assist the marketing editor with promotional tasks such as phone calls, emails or attending meetings. Find unique and creative ways to get the word out about our magazine. Tasks could also include tabling, sidewalk chalking or help with other promotional tasks.  

Web team creates and edits 500 – 1k word web articles that are trendy or serious while keeping Alice’s voice in mind. Contributors should have a brief understanding of AP style. Should be able to hit quick deadlines and have daily communication with the Web editor. 

Writing 

The voice of our magazine. Responsible for creating the “tone” of the magazine. Contributors should be able to hit quick deadlines and keep up on trends and the news. Create and edit 800 – 1.2k word articles for our in-print magazine. 

Beauty — For those who wanted to be a beauty guru growing up or obsessed with all things makeup, this is the section for you. Topics should be anything from trends to serious, hard news style pieces relating to the beauty industry, products, influencers, etc. Constant communication with the beauty editor and managing editor to ensure the voice of the magazine is represented.  

Fashion — Do you think you can dress celebrities better than their stylists? Sick of fast fashion? This is the section for you. Topics should be anything from trends to serious, hard news style pieces relating to the fashion industry, articles of clothing, jewelry, designers, etc. Constant communication with the fashion editor and managing editor to ensure the voice of the magazine is represented. 

Food & Health — If you’re a food connoisseur who emphasizes the importance of physical, mental and emotional well-being, while simultaneously enjoying workouts… Food & Health is the place to be. Topics should be anything from trends to serious, hard news style pieces relating to cuisine, mental health, fitness, etc. Constant communication with the food & health editor and managing editor to ensure the voice of the magazine is represented. 

Lifestyle — Do you give really good advice? Or, are you more into hard news style writing? This is the section for you. Topics should be anything from trends to serious, hard news style pieces relating to the daily college life, news, advice, etc. Constant communication with the lifestyle editor and managing editor to ensure the voice of the magazine Is represented. 

Features — Hand selected by our editorial team, this is the newest section for Alice. A plethora of topics could fall into this category. Have an idea? Pitch it to our features editor. Topics could be anything from trends to serious, hard news style pieces. Constant communication with the features editor and managing editor to ensure the voice of the magazine is represented.
