This collection of essays is inspiring because Lily Collins is honest and open about her experiences. Collins’ debut book acknowledges popular topics such as body image, relationships, family and more. Her book provides comfort to everyone as they can relate to her struggles. This is the perfect book if you’re feeling a little lost or self-conscious. She passes on wisdom and inspires us all to be true to ourselves.
The Sun and Her Flowers by Rupi Kaur
From the author who wrote the wildly popular “Milk and Honey” comes a second collection of poetry. This collection covers the journey of growth and healing. It is inspiring, relatable and raw — what more could one ask for? The book is divided into stages of wilting, falling, rooting, rising, and blooming. Kaur presents a celebration of love in all its different phases. If you feel as if you can’t articulate what you’re feeling, this might be the book for you. Kaur speaks for thousands of others and eloquently voices their heartaches, desires and struggles.
