Alice Editor’s Favorite Beauty and Skincare

Your new favorites for the new season.

By Grace Owens

Making it through to spring can be a little tough. Skin may be dry, and makeup collections might be looking a little uninspired. Here are some of the Alice editor’s favorite skincare and beauty products to get you through to sunny spring weather.

Editor-In-Chief: Jennafer Bowman

Bowman loves layering the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara with Tarte’s Maneater mascara. She says this coupling is a “chef’s kiss combo.” Both of these mascaras curl lashes and add length and volume to elevate any makeup look.

As for skincare, Bowman loves the Banana Bright + Eye Cream from OleHenrikson. This eye cream brightens the undereye and improves concealer performance. This cream is perfect for those dreary days when all anyone wants to do is look a little more awake.

Entertainment Editor: Emie Garrett

Garrett loves Super Goop’s Superscreen. This product doubles as a moisturizer and a 40 SPF sunscreen, making it perfect for daily use in anticipation of spring.

Her favorite beauty product is Revlon’s The Gloss with her favorite shade being Fatal Apple. This lip gloss is long-wearing, and Garrett says it’s “super comfy on the lips—not sticky at all.” This gloss contains agave, moringa oil and cupuacu butter to the keep lips soft and moisturized throughout the day.

Beauty Editor: Leslie Klein

Klein loves the LYS cream bronzer stick. This product is a creamy sculpting bronzer loaded with skincare such as rosehip oil to decrease pigmentations in the skin. It also features watermelon seed and green tea extract to hydrate and plump the skin.

Klein also stands by The Ordinary’s Hyaluronic Acid serum

These makeup and skincare products are the perfect things to get through the winter blues and on the way to sunny, warm weather.

Fashion Editor: Peyton Oden

Oden always reaches for the Glossier Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen. This product is a SPF 35 water-gel formula. This super lightweight sunscreen goes on like a serum, and its transparent formula leaves no white cast on the skin.

He also loves the La Roche Posay Toleriane Hydrating Facial Cleanser. This cleanser is a daily face wash, and its gentle nature makes it suitable for all skin types. It employs La Roche Posay’s signature “prebiotic thermal spring water” to leave the skin feeling plump, supple and hydrated.
