Four Not So Scary Makeup Looks for Halloween

Halloween is a time for haunted houses, warm apple cider and amazing costumes.

Halloween is about letting your imagination run wild, shedding your skin and being whomever your heart desires, even if it’s only for a single evening. If you don’t want to fully commit to an intricate Halloween costume, you can still turn everyone’s heads with these four glamorous makeup looks.

If you’re looking for a scary Halloween look that is sure to stop a few hearts, a red

and pink cut crease with a blood drip liner might just be the look for you.

How To Achieve This Look:

Begin with a foundation, concealer and powder you usually use.

Prep your entire eye area with a light concealer and blend it out with a small beauty blender or foundation brush.

Using a fluffy brush, blend a dusty pink shade all over your lid and into your crease. Take this color under your eyes as well and blend it out under your water line.

Next, use a red liquid eyeliner to create a large wing and a cut crease over your entire eye and into your inner corner.

Use the same liner to create blood drips coming from the wing and from your inner corner.

Use a red pencil eyeliner to tightline your eyes.

Grab a sparkly eye gloss/shadow and apply it all over your lid and the liner.

Add your favorite mascara and if you want a little more drama, pop on your favorite false lashes.

Finish off this look with a bright red lipstick to tie in with the red liner. Or, if you want something more low-key, swipe on a soft nude lip gloss to match your skin tone.

If you’re going for a cute, more festive Halloween vibe, this eye look may be just what you need.

Start off with your usual face makeup and prep your eyes with a light concealer.

With a fluffy brush, swipe a peachy orange shadow all over you eye and crease, with the color concentrated toward your lids and outer corner. Take this shadow under your eye, and blend it out using a large, fluffy brush.

Next, take a liquid black liner and line your eyes, including a smaller wing. Go in with the same liner to create the three points on the outer edge of the wing, and one bigger point on the inner edge of the wing; this creates the bat wing shape.

Finish your eyes with a champagne-colored highlight on the inner corner. Add your favorite mascara or some natural-looking, wispy false lashes.

Complete this look with a flattering nude lipstick to really let your eyes make their statement.

Let your artistic intuition take over and your fluffy brush run wild with this glittery and pastel butterfly-wing look.

Begin with your favorite base makeup and prep your eyes with a white concealer that will make the pastel colors you put over it stand out.

Start off by making stripes on your whole eyelid area with purple, pink, yellow, green and blue eyeshadow.

Sketch the rough shape of a butterfly wing with yellow, orange and pink shadow.

Then, go in with a black liquid eyeliner and add in the outline and details of the butterfly.

Use a white liquid liner to add small dots on the outer wing and fill in small details on the bottom.

Finish off your eyes by applying simple black mascara on your upper lashes and make your bottom lashes pop by using white mascara.

Grab some pink, gold, blue and green cosmetic glitter and apply it to the high points of your face to make the highlights pop.

Finish off this ethereal look with a swipe of bright bubblegum pink lip gloss to make your lips really stand out.
