The holidays are officially here, and with them comes endless celebrations and events. These are the times when you can have fun and experience with your look and try something new. There are so many fun ways to incorporate a holiday twist into your look by adding a pop of red or green, maybe some glitter and even some new and unexpected techniques. Here are some of the best beauty trends for this holiday season.
Check out this very red holiday makeup look by @makeupbyariel. He did a gorgeous red lip on Kylie Jenner paired with a bold eye using red eyeshadow to create a wing and make a cut crease all using the Kylie Cosmetics Holiday Collection from 2019. Now, this can be customized with any holiday color like green or gold, and you could even add some glitter to it, but the red creates a dramatic look that is very on-brand for the holidays and works perfectly for a Christmas party.

Another great look to stand out at any party is a bold, dark lip complemented by a subtle, gold or natural eye like this look created by @hungvanngo. This is a great way to create a more sophisticated but statement look for a more professional event like an office holiday party. You can achieve this lip with the Kilian Le Rouge Parfum Liquid Ultra Matte Lipcolor in shade Rouge Nuit.

A big trend that has already been around for a little while now and will continue through the holiday season is the dark liner all around the eyes, creating a cat-eye look. This look by @patrickta creates a really dramatic eye look with the Kokie Cosmetics Precise Long-Wear Eyeliner in black that will be sure to turn heads at New Year’s Eve parties this year. You can also pair this with a dark burgundy or sugarplum lip to make a grungy holiday look.

A gorgeous way to incorporate more holiday colors into your makeup look is to create a colorful smokey eye. In this look by @aniamilczarczyk, she created a smokey eye with a sparkly green shadow from the Pat Mcgrath Mothership II Sublime palette, and a more natural look on the rest of her face to really make her eyes pop. This can be recreated with any holiday color like red, gold or silver.

Another major trend you’ll be seeing a lot of this holiday season is electric, white eyeliner that isn’t in the usual place where eyeliner goes.
